Icogenex has outstanding capability in over producing therapeutic proteins from bacteria, yeast, or mammalian cells, a process called "IcoExpress." Icogenex scientists have successfully completed a number of projects, including cloning a variety of human cDNAs, developing expression systems, expressing proteins from a number of cell types, and validating a CHO cell line for large scale GMP production.
Icogenex has purified milligram quantities of proteins from bench scale production and Icogenex's clients have expanded our expression system to the fermentation level producing gram quantities of a therapeutic protein for clinical trials.
